Best Gluten-Free Tortilla Chips
Are you searching for the best gluten-free tortilla chips? I’ve got good news: We’ll cover six options in the sections below.
This list has something for everyone, whether you like tortilla chips plain or with a heaping scoop of salsa.

Can celiacs eat tortilla chips?
Unlike regular potato chips, most tortilla chips are made from corn – which, as you may know, is gluten-free.
More and more companies are figuring this out, so you’ll see plenty of GF labels marked on bags of tortilla chips.

Ranking the Tortilla Chips
Ranking these gluten-free tortilla chips came down to taste.
We started to factor in price but stopped because the cost of groceries is constantly changing.
Plus, if you follow a gluten-free diet, you’re probably used to overpaying for food anyway.
Tortilla chips and dip are the perfect combination. But some of these taste great on their own. We’ll let you know which ones you can eat plain.
6. Tostitos Scoops

Tostitos are probably the most popular tortilla chips on this list, but they came in last for our ranking. Are they good? Sure. But the quality is mediocre, and there’s nothing really that special about them. We recommend eating Tostitos (especially scoops) with salsa.
Ingredients: Corn, Vegetable Oil (Corn, Canola, and/or Sunflower Oil), and Salt.
5. Green Mountain Gringo Yellow Corn

The people behind these tortilla strips designed them for aggressive dipping, which is a big plus. The flavor is plain and resembles a traditional corn tortilla taste, so you’ll want to pair these strips with salsa.
Ingredients: Whole Grain Corn Masa Flour, Non-hydrogenated Safflower Oil And/or Sunflower Oil, Sea Salt.
4. Late July Multigrain Sea Salt

You don’t always have to eat corn tortillas while following a gluten-free diet. This blend, made with a combination of grains and seeds, creates a different kind of crunch. If you like that multigrain flavor, you don’t need salsa with these chips.
Ingredients: Organic whole ground corn, organic sunflower and/or organic safflower oils, organic brown rice, organic grain & seed blend (organic flax, organic millet, organic brown rice, organic quinoa and organic amaranth), organic chia seeds, organic cane sugar, sea salt.
3. XOCHITL The Dipper

This is the perfect tortilla chip for dipping. The texture is crispy, and the chips are strong enough to add a large helping of salsa. They’re also oven-baked and quick-fried with a bit of sea salt, making them great on their own.
Ingredients: White corn, Organic Palm Olein Oil, Water, Lime, Sea Salt.
2. Mi Niña Organic “Sea Salt”

These classic white corn tortilla chips never get old. The small flakes of salt really make these chips stand out. Even though these tortilla chips are plain, there’s a slight hint of lime, which makes them good on their own.
Ingredients: Non-GMO white corn, sunflower oil, sea salt, trace of lime.
1. Late July Sea Salt & Lime

If you’re keeping track, this is the second bag of Late July tortilla chips on this list. We love the sea salt and lime flavor because they taste incredible on their own without being too overpowering or artificial.
Ingredients: Organic whole ground corn, organic sunflower and/or organic safflower oil, sea salt, lime oil.
Wrapping Up
You really can’t go wrong with any of the tortilla chips listed above. Some of our top picks included sea salt and a hint of lime (if you couldn’t tell).
But honestly, this is just a tiny sample of gluten-free tortilla chips, and I’m sure we missed some good ones.
If one thing is for sure, this list will continue to grow, as more companies will add the certified GF logo to their packaging.
