Best Gluten-Free Frozen Pizza (Ranked by Taste)
Following a gluten-free diet doesn’t mean you have to settle for bland pizza. If you’re looking for a list of the best gluten-free frozen pizza, this article is for you.
I’ve tasted hundreds of gluten-free dishes over the years. If you don’t already know, my wife has celiac disease and we like to share.
In other words, I’ve eaten a lot of good and bad gluten-free pizza. You might even be surprised to learn that some of the options below taste better than pizza we’ve had at restaurants.
That’s because most places buy cheap gluten-free crusts so they can increase profit margins by marking it up. Did you say GF crust? That will be $4 extra.
Now that my little rant is over, let’s talk about the best gluten-free frozen pizza you can buy.
6. Nature’s Promise
Price: $7.69
If you’re looking for a classic cheese pizza, you can’t go wrong with this one. We really liked the sauce combined with the mozzarella, Asiago, Romano, and Parmesan cheeses.
The one downside to this Nature’s promise pizza is the size. It’s definitely not enough food for two hungry adults with large appetites. But it’s the second lowest priced pizza on this list, so you get what you pay for.
5. Caulipower
Price: $9.49
This cauliflower crust based pizza is another good option. The uncured pepperoni blends perfectly with mozzarella cheese, on top of a crispy crust.
The only problem was that the cheese was lacking on this pizza. You can see from the picture above there were some spots where you could only see the sauce and no cheese.
4. Trader Joe’s
Price: $6.49
Trader Joe’s is known for their high quality foods, which is why I expected a little more from this pizza. It still tastes really good, especially because it’s the cheapest pizza on this list.
The flavor of the sauce didn’t really stick out, but I did enjoy the bell peppers, red onion, and black olives. The cauliflower crust was nice and crispy and there was a perfect amount of cheese.
3. Freschetta
Price: $12.99
This was one of our favorite plain cheese pizzas on the list. Mozzarella, Fontina, Parmesan, and Asiago all come together to create a flavor explosion with each bite.
You can see above there’s no shortage of cheese. The crust was on the thinner side, so keep this in mind if you prefer a thicker, deep dish style pizza.
2. Against the Grain
Price: $13.99
This was a tough call, because Against the Grain makes one heck of a gluten-free pizza. They use high quality ingredients and the crust is nice and flaky – almost like a freshly baked croissant.
However, it’s the most expensive pizza on this list and there’s only twelve pieces of pepperoni (we counted). That means if you cut eight slices, there’s only 1.5 pieces of pepperoni per slice.
1. Udi’s
Price: $9.49
Udi’s takes the crown for the best gluten-free pizza. The combination of mozzarella, white cheddar, Parmesan, and pepperoni makes you forget it was in the freezer.
The sauce also takes things to the next level, which makes it better than some pizzas we’ve eaten at restaurants. Forget about being gluten-free, this is just an amazing pizza all around.
The Bottom Line
If you’re searching for the best gluten-free frozen pizza, you can’t go wrong with Udi’s Crispy Thin Crust Uncured Pepperoni Pizza. It really checks all the boxes for us.
Udi’s is known for making delicious gluten-free foods and this is proof. For under $10 you can enjoy a mouth-watering pizza that tastes better than what you might find at some restaurants.
